“Climate Ready” Crops?
Gene-altered crops are probably not all that new of an idea - crops that can withstand droughts and other environmental seasons and issues. These sorts of genetically-altered crops are being researched because there is a potentially lucrative market in products that will be able to thrive in the face of global warming. Of course, as with all genetically modified anything, these genetically-altered crops have some question-marks hovering over them as there will surely be side-effects or other ills felt years from now.
At the end of the day, the safest thing for any of us is to eat naturally, organically-grown crops and to give our bodies nutrition, etc. in the purest form we can find it. Read more about these genetically-altered crops here and just think about what may happen.
