Because there’s not enough to worry about in this crazy world, it now would seem that there is a woman out there - in West Virginia to be specific - who is suffering from the same symptoms that make up the Mad Cow Disease that has made people so fearful of beef.

Our friends at organicconsumers.org had the news, staring that what a 22-year-old Portsmouth woman is close to dying from is, “Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, or CJD” which is “is so rare that there has only been one other possible case ever in the United States.”

This is really a heartbreaking story…especially since it’s so incredibly rare and the victim had never even been to the midwest, never mind out of the country!
