Well I think I may have come to the following conclusion: My apple-for-breakfast routine isn’t all that bad. Oh sure, I’ll need to make sure that I supplement it with something, maybe that oatmeal with all its good-for-you-fiber, but an apple is better than nothing, right?

And, more to the point, an apple - organic or not - is certainly better than the protein bars I used to eat with a vengence two to three times a day. First off all, eating as much protein as I was at that point, when not coupled with significant exercise (or, for that matter a desire to get massive muscles) will only lead to fat gain.

And an apple is natural, it is healthy even as it is very full of sugar, and it certainly alleviates my hunger when all I want to do is stop for an omlette with cheese, buttered toast and perhaps a danish to wash it down. Plus, if I’m still having that omelette, I can have it with a clear conscience, and with vegetables in addition to that cheese.
